I'm a new Library Media Director at a high school and my principal has asked me to research how other high schools deal with Rated R videos. Last year numerous teachers showed Rated R movies in their classrooms and it caused concern among other teachers and parents. Do any schools have policies with videos? I have also been asked to purchase Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan and Shakespeare in Love (which are all great movies) but are all Rated R. I refuse to do this until we have established some kind of policy to cover myself and my students. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks AnnMarie AnnMarie E.
