Target:Classroom Lit guide ideas Gr. 4-5

Our Literacy team will be meeting to come up with ideas on how to
best use our new diversity titles. I am on the 4/5 team. Our books
are _Bud, Not Buddy_ by Curtis, and _When the Soldiers Were Gone_ by
Propp. Does anyone have any suggestions on these 2 titles for:
          * leading class discussions
          * extending concepts/themes of these books

We were thinking of doing a guide for teachers in a format similar to
shared inquiry/Junior Great Books.

Any classroom ideas welcomed by all our 4/5 teachers! TIA
