I haven't finished it, but can't wait to share this title:

Brown, John Seely, and Paul Duguid. The Social Life of information. Boston:

       Harvard Business School Press, 2000.

My daughter read this for a course in her education program (doctoral). Seely
and Duguid explore the issues of information vs. knowledge, process vs.
practice, technology, bots and agents, in a wonderful, straightforward
style. I am only half-way through the book, but hope some of you will be able
to get a copy before having to return to school and fuller schedules. The
role of a community like LM_NET is given great prominence in the authors'
consideration of how people really support each other (compared to idealized
schemas).

Enjoy, and Happy New Year.
