Peter, I thought the same things as Meg Shimmels when she wrote:: "Peter and all, I would strongly disagree that the "tearjerkers" thread is off-topic! How can bibliographies of these very endearing, and enduring books possibly be considered OT? I would agree about politics, religions, and *maybe* the regionalisms, but the "tearjerkers" thread? No way!!! I plan to use the posted titles to beef up my fiction collection. Some people have a very narrow view of what is appropriate if that thread is considered OT, IMO.
