TARGET:Futuristic Fiction

I am compiling a fiction book list for an 8th grade reading club that will serve as 
a springboard to discussions about social issues will be dealing with in the 
future.  We have identified the following target issues:  Government control, 
Virtual Reality, Family relationships, Nuclear issues, Cloning, Computer and 
Technology.  We have the following examples:
Invitation to the Game--gov. control
Night Room--virtual reality
Z is for Zacharia--nuclear
Amy--cloning
Among the hidden--family
Armageddan Summer--Gov. control and cults

Any other suggestions?  TIA
