wo problems with checking the day of the week of perpetual calenders for dates that far back. In 1582 Gregory XIII fixed the calender by droping 10 day from a year That year the day following Oct 4, 1582 became Oct 15, 1582 This was immediately adopted by Catholic countries of Europe: Italy,l Spain, Portugal, and France. Most of Europe had accepted it by 1700 but Britain lagged behind There was and 11 day difference between britons dates and the rest of the world. They fixed the problem in sept of 1752 the next day after Sept 2, 1752 was Sept 14, 1752 so the day's of the week prior to 1752 may depend on where you were at the time.
