SEC: Substitution for To Kill a Mockingbird needed

Greetings,
Our English Dept. Head said that they wish to eliminate To Kill a
Mockingbird for the 9th or 10th grade level this semester. Do any of you
have ideas for a substitute novel for this age level and subject matter?
