Dear LM_NET, I've just received a phone call from our elementary reading teacher who needs some information on what she called "transition classes". She's speaking of classes used to place children not quite ready for first grade, but who have completed kindergarten; and/or those who have completed first, but are not yet ready for second grade. She says they have searched ERIC, and wonder if there are some other terms used besides "transition" classes. Are any of you familiar with these, and if so, could you pass on some terms or places to find information? Your information will be much appreciated. Heat wave here today--25 above!!!!!
