Is anyone using or familiar with Book Adventure (http://www.bookadventure.org)? It is a reading incentive program similar to AR or Reading Counts but is completely online and free. It is sponsored by the Sylvan Learning Foundation, Barnes and Noble, RR Bowker, and Lycos among others. I am considering having the students in my building register to use it in my middle school media center for my March Reading Month program. Students could read a book, take the quiz, print out the results, and (if they pass the quiz) can enter a drawing for prizes. This would be my first March Reading Month program and I want to try to cover all the technological gliches that we might encounter (or many of them) before I begin. Also, I was sent a partial listing of what books they have but would like the complete list (even if it is only as of a certain date) so students can look up a book on the list before they read one and discover there isn't a test for it (sometimes our web connection isn't the fastest thing so this would save them some time). I can't seem to find a place on the web site where they give a list of what they offer. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, H.
