I'm at wits end with this one and hope someone out there can help. A patron called the desk yesterday seeking two poems. She does not know the author, but gave me these as titles: 1. Life for me ain't been no crystal stair (which I have identified as Langston Hughes' "Mother to Son), and 2. Lizar Lizar Now on this second one, she knows it's an African-American poet, but she only remembers that it has a phrase that "sounds like Lizar Lizar" in it. I've tried looking for "lives are," "Lies are," and "Liza Liza." Does it ring a bell with anyone?
