I have a friend who has a CTX laptop computer. The cable which connects to a telephone wire broke off a few weeks ago (Texas Instrument modem) and she purchased a 3Com Megahertz modem from CompUSA. She has installed and reinstalled the software, tried the modem in both slots, uninstalled the Texas Instruments software, and every time she tries to dial up the computer shuts down and restarts in safe mode. She has tried to call our local CompUSA store, leaves a message, and nobody calls her back.
