Good morning!

I was in bed Saturday morning racking my brain trying to think of some
ideas for a breakfast my principal has asked me to help him coordinate to
spotlight educational excellence at our school when.......... I remembered
that I already have access to the best ideas  ...I will ask LM-Net
members.   My principal and I really want to "knock the socks off" the
business leaders of our community with this breakfast .

Our plan so far is this: Breakfast will be in the cafeteria.  The kids are
going to do a Powerpoint presentation and my principal has asked several
members of the faculty to talk for 5 minutes about their programs....the
program and breakfast will be an hour. I want the library's 5 minute
presentation  to be the BEST part of the program (of course) because
sitting in the audience will be the business leaders of our community, our
superintendent, all the principals in our school system and political
leaders!  A wonderful opportunity to showcase the library!  My idea is to
have them move to the library and then I will use our Data Projector in
the research room to show them the library's web page and its links.
Also, I am going to give them a bookmark with the web site address and a
hand-out with instructions for using  the databases that can be accessed
from the library's web page.

Here are my questions:
Have any of you all had an event similar to this at your school?  If so,
what did you call it?  What was the program's format?  What did you do
during the library's part of the program?  What kind of invitation did you
send?  Any suggestions would be appreciated!  My principal wants me to
write the invitation and give the breakfast a name....HELP!

I will post a hit if there is interest.  Thanks in advance for being such
a great group!  I have called on you all so many times. I don't  know what
I would do without LM_NET!
