Thanks to some speedy responses from the list, I was able to give our social
studies teacher web sites for the U.S. Capitol on short notice. Thank you!

Good site. The Capitol Project is an exploration of the National Capitol.

The United States Capitol

Includes an overview of the Capitol, the building's construction history,
architectural features, works of art, etc.
