We have recently split into a High School and Middle School library. The High School librarian has had to create a vertical file from scratch. So far, she has been exclusively selecting materials to support the curriculum, but she wonders if this is really necessary due to Internet sources and CD-ROM. If you think it is necessary, what are your guidelines for selection? Should we keep articles of local interest as well?
