LEARNING DISABILITIES

        OnSpecialEd.com
This web site contains extensive amounts of information about learning
disabilities, individualized education programs, rights of individuals,
and related topics.  It contains disability information on the national,
state, and local levels.  To access the information on this web site, a
person will need to become a member.  Membership is free.  This web site
can be found at two different URLs: http://www.onspecialed.com and
http://www.learningdisability.org

        SpecialEducation.org:  A Resource and Service for Parents and
        Professionals
This web site contains lists of web sites and other materials related to a
wide range of topics related to different forms of disabilities.  The URL
is: http://www.specialeducation.org

        National Center for Learning Disabilities
This web site, created by the National Center for Learning Disabilities,
is packed with information about learning disabilities.  It also contains
information about a number of agencies and national organizations that
assist people with disabilities.  The URL is:  http://www.ncld.org

        LD Online
This web site contains information about a wide range of topics related to
learning disabilities.  For topics ranging from individualized education
programs to assistive technology, this site contains numerous articles
which explore different aspects of each area.  The site also gives its
users a chance to subscribe to an electronic newsletter, which keeps
readers up to date on new developments in the world of learning
disabilities.  The URL is: http://www.ldonline.org

RESOURCES FROM THE U.S. DEPT. OF EDUCATION

        Ed Pubs On-Line Ordering System         U.S. Dept. of Education
A wide variety of educational resources can be ordered free from the
U.S. Department of Education.  These materials include books, pamphlets,
videos, posters, and other educational media.  You can search for
materials either by a topic of your choice or through one of their
categories.  Literature is available on many topics related to special

OTHER RESOURCES

        Disability Etiquette Handbook
This web site contains information about how people with disabilities
should be treated.  Two of the items contained in this site are a glossary
of acceptable terms and a list of dos and don'ts for dealing with people
