My principal is applying for a major grant from our state dept., and he
wants to write to in such a way to make our school library and
technology/computer labs available to the public in the evenings. Our
community is a small one but our elementary school has both a Mac lab
and an IBM lab, and we have technology within our library. His desire
to open the labs and the library for two hours each evening, Monday thru
Thursday, so that the general public can have access to the Internet,
and also so that introductory classes in computer use, word processing,
Internet, etc., can be taught to those in our community who would not
otherwise have the opportunity to learn about or use computers. Does
anyone out there in LM_Net world have anything like this in your
school? How did you set it up? How is it funded? Etc., etc. Would
you please contact me. I'll be glad to give you a personal phone call if
you can provide me with times that it would be good to call. Thanks.
