Target: Geography/Culture Research Project partners

Dear Fellow Librarians:

    There is a fifth grade class at our school that is researching in the
library about the connection between geography and culture.  First, they have
studied about our own hometown of Chicago.  Next, each student will be
studying about various regions/cities of the US.  A student committee from
the class has prepared a short fact sheet about what we have learned so far.
    In addition to their other research, they would like to trade information
(one
exchange) with others who might be studying a similar topic in their
hometown.  If you have a class or teacher who is studying and/or informed
about your area and could prepare a short fact sheet for us, we would love to
hear from you.  Please e-mail me directly as we do not have student e-mail
and I will send you their fact sheet info.  The deadline to receive your fact
sheet would be March 17.  The regions/cities they have selected are:

Springfield, IL; New York, NY; Myrtle Beach, SC; Nashville, TN; Puerto Rico;
St.
Helena, Montana; Lincoln, NE; Olympia, WA; Houston, TX; Ann Arbor, MI; Salem,
OR; Birmingham, Alabama; Atlantic City, NY; Concord, NH; Santa Fe, NM;
Orlando, FL; Los Angeles, CA; and Jackson, Miss.
