Hi everyone! I'm wondering to what extent any of you have separate sections in your library for "E" (picture books) and "Easy Reader/Beginning Chapter" type books. Advantages/disadvantages? The library I started working at this year has some books color-coded & labeled "ER" and "BC" as well as "E" books. The ER and BC books are kept in a different section. The main problem is that ALL books are entered into the computer as E regardless of what is on the spine. We'll be breaking ground (hopefully) for a new building this summer and I'm wondering what I should plan to do... I can keep ER types separate and update the computer records or put all E books together and color code the ER types so students could self-select those. Suggestions...comments...are appreciated! Thanks!
