Today I received a memo from our National Honors Society and Student = Council outlining their plan to promote leadership. Their idea is to give = descriptions of famous people in each "academic field" and sponsor a = contest for students to search to identify the leaders. The only visible "leader" that I can think of is Dewey (whom they should = know), however group would like them to be rather challenging--not an "ask = a teacher" type. The leaders can be local, state, national, or worldwide; = dead or alive. I thougth we might have an interesting discussion about famous leaders in = our field. Can you give me some help?
