There was a story on ABC nightly news about Texas Education, and it was not good. Teachers have to spend months on test prep, and do not have time to spend on what they should be teaching. Their SAT scores have not budged, their state tests are easy, and a high percentage of students need remedial help in college. Teaching to the test. arrggghhh I don't mean this to reflect on Texas teachers. I mean it to reflect on the state of underfunding for Education, and the mandate to teach to the test.
