TARGET:Millenium projects-websites

Does any one know any websites for info on actors &actresses, 1900-1920 and
basketball players, 1900-1920?  Students are working on timelines for each
decade on 25 different topics.  These two have us stumped.  We've checked
many reference sources but have nothing for these years.  Later, they have
to write more info on one person from each decade on each topic.  Any help
would really be appreciated.TIA
