TARGET: benefits of open/flex checkout

Help(ASAP)!!!
I am trying to convince my staff and principal of the benefits of open/flexible 
checkout(especially for
elementary school).  I have discussed increased access as well as a few other 
benefits, however, I feel like
I am losing ground.  SO I am requesting assistance from
the experts.  Any information that you can send me(personal experiences, data, etc) 
so that I can strenghten the "pro" side of this discussion--I would be SO 
grateful!!!!  I want my students and teachers to give it a chance so that they can 
experience positive side.  Tradition seems to be a fortress in this case.  Thank 
you in advance!!!
