Hello, I have looked over job postings in South Carolina and I am curious about school library certification requirements and job titles. I have not been able to determine what type of degree (BSEd, MLS) is required to be a school librarian in South Carolina, nor have I been able to find out what the difference is between "Teacher-Librarian" (which I saw no job postings for) and "Media Specialist"--is there anyone who could help me out by clarifying this information? Could you also tell me what the job outlook and working conditions are like and whether you know of any positions that would be available in the upcoming school year? Thanksi in advance for your time and help.
