GEN: Why LM_NET Was Not Delivering Mail This Weekend

Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

Here is a brief explanation of what happened to LM_NET's down time this
weekend. Kudos to Syracuse University and their tremendous support for
tracking down and fixing the problem almost immediately after they were
notified of it!!!!

The part of the LISTSERV setup used for non syr.edu addresses had
failed.  Since syr.edu messages were being delivered no one here
noticed the problem.  The failure occurred just after midnight
on Friday night / Saturday morning.
