I'm a new user of Windows ‘98 and have two questions about passwords. I've
never been prompted for a password on W'95, but every time I turn on the
computer with W ‘98, it shows my name and asks me for a password. I either
click on cancel or hit ESC, but what I'd really like to do is to remove the
password prompt altogether. After I click on cancel or hit ESC, the desktop
loads. If I could remove the password prompt, then everything would load
without me having to remember cancel or escape.

The other situation that occurs with ‘98, but not ‘95, concerns my dial-up
ISP. W ‘95 saved my password, but with W '98, the ‘save password' box is
grayed out. I'd like to be able to save my password, but can't get the
‘save password' box to work.

If anyone can advise me on either or both of these password problems, I'd
appreciate it.

Linda
