ELEM: Activities for _Old Jake's Skirts_

Hi, all!
        Sorry if I already posted this, but I think I sent it while the
list was down.
        I'm looking for activity ideas to go with the book _Old Jake's
Skirts_ by Cynthia Anne Scott.  It's such a fun story that I'd like to
share it with second or third graders.
        Along the same lines, is there a listserv which specifically
discusses books and activities to go with them?
