I would appreciate hearing from any high schools that use accelerated
reader:  do you give students a grade, do you encourage points OR
percentage, reading incentives, consequences, and any data on usage.  We
have a 30 minute reading period which is graded;  main problems or
concerns deal with one student reading one book and all his/her friends
doing the same and taking the test; and another--only looking for books
with the highest points so they only need 1 book per semester;

Your opinions and data would be greatly appreciated as we try to improve
our program.
