2 January 2000 Dear LM_Netters, Our school district is investigating media distribution systems (video/DVD, etc.) for inclusion in our next referendum proposal. If you have any experience with such a school-wide system, especially in an elementary setting, please contact me with pros and cons. I'll post a HIT if there is interest. Some Questions: Who does the scheduling and when does it get done? Does your system allow teachers to control start times, etc.? What grades/subjects are the heavy users? Is there system software you can recommend? Where is your system located (computer lab, library/media center)? Usage information: worth the cost, babysitting tool, etc.? Anything I've left out? TIA. Our district committee meets on Thursday, January 6. You all are wonderful.
