I am looking for information for a colleague who is considering eliminating the "E" classification in her K-6 library. All books will be filed into one of the other three classifications (Fic, Nonfic & Ref). The archives had some information about the pros and cons of various shelving arrangements but I need a bit more. Does anyone out there have experience running an elementary library that has essentially no picture book/ story corner area? What would you say to someone who is seriously considering this? Thanks in advance for your time!
