Happy New Year! This morning on the way to work I heard part of a news story on a university research project. The researcher's results indicated that only 27 or 29 % of Internet research efforts resulted in reliable and useable information. The researcher also found 9% of the information on Web sites to be completely bogus. One of the factors that the project took into consideration, was when "found information" did not truly answer the research question. I would like to find the actual study results. Do any of you know of this study and where it can be found? -- Sincerely, Deb Logan Librarian/Media Specialist Taft Middle School Marion, OH KidsConnect Volunteer MAILTO:jd3logan@bright.net Taft Library Media Center http://www.infotaft.marioncity.k12.oh.us Taft Middle School http://156.63.251.180/taft/index.html KidsConnect is a question-answering and referral service on the Internet, provided by the American Association of School Librarians, a division of the American Library Association. ************************************************** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
