Hi

Part one:

Rather than re-posting everyone's replies (I received about a dozen), the
majority vote seemed to be for PermaBound.

I checked the AR Titlefinder for tests for Latino authors and found quite a
few (more than 100) but they seemed weighted towards elementary (note the
SIG -- HS). I couldn't get my PermaSearch CD-ROM disk to work at all
(crashed the program each time) and using their web-site was 'way too slow
to be looking up a 100 titles.

So I did what I should've done in the first place, used the old "low-tech"
method of calling my PermaBound rep. He is sending me an annotated
bibliography of middle and high school Latino authors that also have AR
tests. I can't say enough good for our PB reps. The company itself had some
fulfillment problems last fall but the reps are pure gold. So don't ignore
your resources is the moral of this story! And don't always count on your
computer to find the answer!

Part two: I'll let you know after we've got the books and the tests!
