Hi, We are looking for suggestions for a dynamic, interesting, exciting author of middle school level books for an author visit in the northeastern U.S. -- We are interested in someone who would do both large and small group presentations, who works exceptionally well with this age group, and whose material will be familiar to them. The person could be an author or author/illustrator. We cannot afford the top names in YA lit, but hoped there might be some good references for other authors who would hook our middle school kids into reading and writing. Please send ideas and reasons, along with your name and a phone number where we could reach you during the day if we have questions. Many thanks!
