Samantha Smith was killed in a plane crash in 1985. She'd visited the
Soviet Union in July 1983 after sending a letter to Yuri Andropov asking
"Why do you want to conquer the whole world, or at least our country?".

I was going to include a couple URLs, but got to laughing at the one
claiming she'd been killed by the CIA and ran out of time. :)
