My middle school principal came in looking for the definition of the world "transescent" which he keeps coming across in articles about middle school philosophy and about specifically about middle school students as being "transescent" learners. We can't find a definition of it in any of our dictionaries or in any online dictionaries. This was the correct spelling according to the article that he brought to me. Could anyone help us with a definition? Thanks.
