Martha and others,

With a DV iMac you will need to have a 1024 X 768 projector.  You have
to put that as the monitor setting on the iMac for the image to be
viewed by the projector.  Even at that setting, without the proper
projector that uses that setting, you won't be able to get your whole
computer screen to show up on the projected image.  Hope that helps.
