Hi everyone,
Now that I am learning so much about your countries from being a member of
this listserv, I would like to focus on building up our non-fiction
collection in this area. It is always a popular choice with our stunts who
tend to equate the US with Disneyland, but our print resources are woeful!
We have so much about Asia, and it is readily available here, but very
little about North America. For some reason, Australian Publishing
companies putting out series seem to concentrate on European and Asian
countries.

So I am seeking your suggestions for books that are suitable for kids who
are 5 - 11 years of age. I would appreciate if if you rank your choices for
me, as purchasing will probably involve buying from amazon.com and that is
very expensive for us - our dollar is only worth about 65cUS.

It would save clogging the listserv if you email me directly (just hit
'reply') and I will post a hit.

Many thanks
Barbara
