I wish I had ordered from Amazon!! Barne's and Noble didn't even deliver
ONE today!! I did get an e-mail timed at 6 am this morning saying it had
been shipped! So much for their promise to have it delivered by today!
The really strange thing is that when I ordered it(around June 12) I ordered
a second book because of a $10. off $30. purchase coupon. The other book
was a "24 hour availability" title and I realized I would probably get both
books when Harry was released. This past week they finally notified me that
they had shipped the other book and that Harry would ship on 7/11. Well, I
immediately wrote back with my best "indignant parent" voice saying my son's
birthday was Tuesday and they promised delivery on July 8 AND if they were
going to ship the other book separately why didn't they ship it back on June
12!! I also told them I expected the book at their 50% off all bestsellers
price because surely by Tuesday it would be a bestseller for real! They
wrote me back and said not to worry that the book would be delivered July 8
by priority mail!
Oh well, I guess before I get really indignant I will wait to see if the
problem is my local post office!
Did any of you B&N customers get yours today as promised? I live in a rural
area with a small town post office. Would that have been the difference?
By the way, my prisoners(adult women) are arguing over who gets Harry IV
first! They love him too!
