Target: Slipped disc

After reading Gail's post about tendonitis, I decided to ask if any of you
have had a slipped disc and if so, what treatments did you have, and how has
it affected your ability to work?
 23 years of lifting, moving and carrying have taken their toll on my back.
With our moving and merging of 3 libraries into one facility next summer, I
am concerned about my ability to do all that will need to be done.
