I'd like to comment on the topics in the four messages in my digest version
today.
1. I wholeheartedly agree that we should contribute more to the group than
send private messages. I received some great information to a question I
asked but the responses were sent to me personally and if I want to share, I
have to write more messages to the group becasue you cannot (or it is
rude)to copy someone's message and send it to others without their
permission.
2. That type of response and that of colleagues who do not want to endure
others' questions or help them is just a manifestation of the American
emphasis on independence and individuality. We don't "group" well (or as
well as some other cultures).
3. Yes, I remember those great discussions about "Bridges". I was new and
was really impressed by the sharing in those discussions.
4. If you would like to see reduced text space on the listserv, I think we
could cut down some on the inclusion of complete copies of the previous
message in our replies.
