With all the chat about censorship, I have to share a story.....it's not
mine. (Thank goodness) A teacher approached the MS regarding the
removal of an easy reader that told the story of Moses. When the MS
refused to remove the book, the teacher went to the principal, who then
told the MS in no uncertain terms that "Bible" stories are not to be in
the library!! A month later a parent whose child was in that same
teacher's class came into the library with a book called My Mother the
Witch and challenged it. The MS told the parent that she would review
the book. That same teacher then heard about it, went to the principal
AGAIN and the principal came storming into the library to inform the MS
that she will NOT tolerate censorship in her school!! (So it's ok to
have witch stories, just no biblical stories?!?!) Sheesh,
