As usual... Within almost seconds of my TARGET post, I started getting HITS! Here (as requested) are the hits (so far). (Please - no flames!) ---------- "I love to play" by Jake Trout and the Flounders (available @ Amazon.com) looks like it would fit the bill. Songs included are: "Love the One You Whiff" "Struggler's Blues" "I'm on 18" and there's more! ---------- "Thru the Smoky End Boards; Canadian Poetry about sports & games" edited by Kevin & Sean Brooks and published by Polestar Book Publishers, 1011 Commercial Drive, Second Floor, Vancouver, BC V5L 3X1, ISBN 1-896095-15-1 contains five poems on golf: Golf Lesson -- Susan Ioannou Golfers -- Irving Layton Bangor Municipal Golf Course -- George McWhirter Golf -- Alden Nowlan Jock o' the Links -- e. J. Pratt Trust this might help. ----------- In the late 1920's or early 30's, a performer by the name of Frank Crummit (sp.) sang a golf song about how "that dirty little pill rolled down the hill and right into the water"...a local dj by the name of Moskowitz plays it occasionally on a local public station....you might look in the Oxford Book of American [or English] Light Verse and other collections of humorous poetry, esp. Ogden Nash's works.... ____________ I found 3 poems about golf in a collection called "American Sports Poems" selected by R.R.
