TECH:Switzerland site that translates URL names to IP addresses

We have been having big problems with internet access. Today we could not=

get to the DNS server, BUT we could get to an address if we have the IP
address.

I used to use a service out of Switzerland where you could connect, then
type in the name of the site and it would return the IP address.  Problem=

is that I haven't used the service in several years. Does anyone know thi=
s
service and if it is still available.

OR

Do you know the IP address of  cnn.com  and Science News today?
