Dear Deborah
Here is what I have but I don't know the source.

'If the world was a village with just 1000 people there would be
60 North Americans, 80 South Americans, 546 Asians, 86 Africans, 210 Europeans, and 
18 Australians.
700 of them would be non-white, 300 of them would be white, 300 of them would be 
Christians, 60
would own half the total wealth, 500 would not have enough to eat, 600 would live 
in the slums and
700 could not read or write.'
