Dear LM_Netters:

Last week a teacher asked me why there are so many more "significant"
(i.e., of substance) female than male novelists (adult novelists) in
recent years.  My first reaction was to ask if that were in fact the
case.  I do not know the answer to either question.

What is your experience/opinion?
