Hi- This comes a bit late but the semester has ended, and I have had a chance to catch my breath! Here is a listing of the sites recommended to me by those who responded to my original post for web sites used on a regular basis by school media specialists: Amazon.com Fred Muller's book review site: <http://www.halsted.org/br.htm> TradeMARC <http://www.trademarc.com> Library of Congress <http://lcweb.loc.gov> Educational Paperback Association <http://edupaperback.org/top100/html Marylaine Block's website <http://www.marylaine.com> FreeMarc (no URL given) Sunlink <http://sunlink.ucf.edu/weed> Edweek (no URL given) Follett (http://www.follett.com) Kathy Shrock's web site <http://www.school.discovery.com/shrockguide> Internet Public Library <http://ipl.org> http://www.score.k12.ca.us/ Blue Web'n <http://kn.pacbell.com/wired/bluewebn/> Publist.com <http://publist.com/search_browse.html> Books in Print <http://www.booksinprint.com/bip> Eric <http://ericir.syr.edu> LM_Net archives <http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net> Noodletools.com <http://noodletools.com Other sites used by school librarians were individual county or local public library sites. I have not yet looked at all of the recommended sites. Many I am familiar with, however some I have not yet investigated. Now for my other request. Actually, it is the same request---- the previous request was the preliminary work I needed to set up my paper for research methods. NOW I get to do the real paper this summer. SO............again I ask you if you use any web sites on a REGULAR basis to perform your job as a school media specialist please email me directly-can be in an educational, administrative or technical capacity....even if they are already on this list....the more responses I get, the more recommendations the SITE gets in my report....those of you who emailed me on my first request DON'T need to do so again- I have kept your responses.... Thanks in advance for your help....this is the last course I need and I AM DONE with my certification.....!!!! Lorelei L.
