My 5th graders loved it. I showed it to them a year or two back with
popcorn as a reward. I NEVER do things like popcorn, they were thrilled.
Another great movie was Madeline. They kept the flavor and used parts of
the written book directly. I have a real problem with them taking a great
book (and doing a great job with it) and then adding cursing that makes you
not able to show the movie at school or even to your own children if they
prefer not to hear vulgar language. My daughter is much more straight laced
than I am! Stuart Little is also good and well done AGAIN until you get to
the part where the cats are chasing him through Central Park and they begin
cursing.

I wish that "HOLLYWOOD" would stop putting things into the movie
adaptations that were never meant by the author!
