What a wonderful group--you didn't fail me. I have received MANY
replies, but the altavista "babelfish" site is the most recommended.
Here are replies for those who also had an interest:

These sites were recommended in the past:

http://www.babelfish.com/Translations.shtml
http://translator.go.com/
http://babelfish.altavista.com/translate.dyn

One of the easiest places is http://world.altavista.com/

Try http:// www.dictionary.com they have a translation section in their
site. I use
it with my ESL students when the come to the library

-------------------------------------
Sites which offer translation are listed at:
http://rivendel.com/~ric/resources/dictad-2.html
Just be careful, because most do very literal word by word translation.
The
result might be something quite different from what you intend. To
check,
translate English to the second language, then back to English. If you
are
lucky, the two English versions will be close.
-----------------------------
This may be a repeat of what you've already got, but Altavista's
pairing with the Babelfish software is outstanding...Just be warned
that accent marks do not always show up in translations. The word
"year" in Spanish is changed to "anus" by simply leaving out an
accent. Ask me how I know... ;-)

Try these:

http://www.systransoft.com/
http://www.babelfish.com/Translations.shtml
http://translator.go.com/
