Michigan and Metro Detroit Area Media Specialists -

Trenton School District has an opening for the high school media
specialist position to begin the 2000/2001 school year. Trenton is a
Downriver community in the Detroit Metro area and has one high school,

one middle school, and four elementary buildings. The high school
media center receives a substantial budget and has significant
administrative support for improvements and change. The media center
itself is a large facility serving over 1000 students and 60+ staff
with a approximately twelve networked Windows computers, an adjoining,

fully networked computer lab, and an automated circulation and OPAC
(Follett). Trenton salaries and benefits are excellent. The district
is looking for an individual with a well rounded vision of the role of

the media center in education and specifically high school.
Familiarity with high school curriculum and programming is desirable.
