TECH: connection ?

        I am looking for pros and cons of connecting a computer via the
telephone line vs. high speed/tv cable. (I know there is a connection that
allows the telephone and the computer on the same line without a second
line.) Do any of these connections allow more than one user/computer on at
the same time?
