Thank goodness some media specialist stick with LM_NET during the summer! Here is another “first year” question. I have been puzzling over how to set up the library schedule for teachers. I have decided to place a 3 ring binder with weekly schedule pages in the media center. When a teacher wants to sign up to use the media center, he/she will need to sign up and then fill out a form telling me about the lesson and needed resources. I went to a workshop today and I learned how to build a Word template for this form (so the teachers can just tab through and enter the fields in Word, then print or email me a copy). I am eager to build this new form, but I need some of your ideas for things to be included. I think that teachers will like this template format (once they get used to it) but I will supply paper copies for anyone who does not want to use their computer. I have searched the LM_NET archives, but have not found any suggestions about this topic. (I suspect that I have not figured out the “magic words” for this information – I’m sure it is out there somewhere.) If you have any suggestions for me as I begin my first year as a High School Media Specialist, please pass them on. TIA LM_NET ARCHIVES HINT: I have found many interesting topics as I search the archives but sometimes I run into a really neat hit that says something like: HIT: ABC part 2 without showing HIT: ABC part 1 – if I search the archives for the person that has posted the hit (I copy the name in the “from” field and paste into the archives search box) I tend to find the missing parts of the hit. ******************************************************************** Angela Y Northern MLS graduate (2 weeks now:-) IUPUI-Indianapolis, IN anorther@seidata.com ***A real friend is one who walks in when the rest to the world walks out*** ******************************************************************** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
